Turkey fires another 10,000 civil servants in post-coup purge
Turkish authorities have fired over 10,000 more civil servants, as the government presses a crackdown over the failed July coup, the official gazette said. A total of 10,131 government employees have been removed, mainly from the education, justice and health ministries, according to announcements published late Saturday.

Loretta Lynch is declining to comply with an investigation by leading members of Congress about the Obama administration’s secret efforts to send Iran $1.7 billion in cash earlier this year, prompting accusations that Lynch has “pleaded the Fifth” Amendment to avoid incriminating herself over these payments, according to lawmakers and communications exclusively obtained by the Washington Free Beacon. Sen. Marco Rubio (R., Fla.) and Rep. Mike Pompeo (R., Kan.) initially presented Lynch in October with a series of questions about how the cash payment to Iran was approved and delivered.

In searching the devices that Abedin shared with Weiner, the FBI must have discovered emails that were clearly classified. They were sent by Clinton and they were on Abedin’s home device that Weiner had access to in a file next to his pedophilia. The agents worked this up the chain, Comey realized he had no choice but to let the American people know.

The danger of a major new jolt remains in Italy, as over 200 aftershocks were registered following a devastating 6.6 magnitude earthquake in central regions of the country. Sunday’s earthquake in central Italy was followed by numerous aftershocks, 15 of which had a magnitude ranging from 4.0 to 4.6, according to Italy’s National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV).

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev is scheduled to visit Israel and the Palestinian Authority (PA) on November 9 with the aim of advancing the peace negotiations between the sides, i24news reported Sunday, citing a report on the PA’s official television station. “a number of bilateral intergovernmental and interagency agreements and documents are due to be signed after the talks.”

Police Officer Dies of Complications From Shooting After He Predicted He Would Be Shot
An Alaska police officer who reportedly predicted that he would be shot has died from surgery complications two weeks later. Sgt. Allen Brandt was shot on patrol after responding to reports of gunfire in Fairbanks earlier this month. Earlier that same night he told his wife and children he would be shot, according to reports.
