Texas, Arizona announce troop deployments to Mexico border
The US states of Texas and Arizona on Friday announced plans to send National Guard troops to the southern border with Mexico after President Donald Trump ordered a thousands-strong deployment to combat drug trafficking and illegal immigration. The Texas National Guard said it would send 250 troops to the border within 72 hours and had already deployed two Lakota helicopters, while Arizona’s governor said he would send 150 personnel next week.

Deficit nears $600 billion in first half of 2018
The federal budget deficit hit $598 billion in the first half of the 2018 fiscal years, according to the Congressional Budget Office, quickly outpacing the deficits of recent years. The world goes for Israel’s throat
All the hypocrites of the world are now at Israel’s throat. The satrap Erdogan, who slaughters the Kurds, who invades Afrin, who persecutes Christians and who occupies Cyprus, has the nerve to accuse Israel of “terrorism” in Gaza. At least 289 and more likely 500 people have been killed since Turkey launched its jihad against Afrin and Erdogan allows himself to give ethical lessons to Israel. But in some perverse way, Erdogan is right: Those who did not condemn the Turkish invasion and massacres in Afrin, took two minutes to turn Israel into a Nazi at the border of Gaza for defending itself.

King Salman reiterated Saudi Arabia’s support for a Palestinian state after his son and heir apparent said Israelis were entitled to live peacefully on their own land – a rare statement by an Arab leader. The king also emphasized the need to advance the peace process in a phone call with US President Donald Trump on Monday night, made after demonstrations along the Israel-Gaza border.
Indonesia declares state of emergency as oil spill spreads
Indonesia has declared a state of emergency to help stop the spreading of a deadly oil spill off the coast of the island of Borneo. At least four fishermen in the port city of Balikpapan were killed over the weekend when the fuel ignited. Hundreds of people have reported health issues since Saturday’s spill. As the oil slick continues to spread, the risk of further fires is increasing, Indonesian authorities said on Tuesday.
Mexico Says It Will Disband Caravan, But Organizers Say Some Of Its Members Will Continue North 
Mexico’s National Institute of Immigration (INM) said late Monday that it plans by Wednesday to disband a caravan of hundreds of Central American migrants that has been traveling through Mexico for nine days. Caravan organizers said, however, they expect at least some of the migrants to continue north to the US border. They estimate that most of them will seek asylum or some type of protection in Mexico or the US.
Gas Prices On The Rise
The cost of gas is up across the country, including in Maryland, and is inching toward the highest price in three years. Gas is going up about a penny every other day — 15 cents in the past month. “We’ll be paying the highest prices for this time of year since 2014,” said Christine Delise with AAA. Gas companies are changing over to a different summer blend. To do so, some refineries shut down, leading to the classic market principal of supply and demand.

Due to the IDF’s use of snipers during Friday’s March of Return riots along the Gaza security fence, protesters are resorting to the use of mirrors to blind IDF soldiers and to burning tires to create thick smoke to obscure them from sight.
