Organisers of the climate talks in Paris say a final draft text has been reached after nearly two weeks of intensive negotiations. An official in the office of French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius told the AFP news agency the draft would be presented to ministers at 10:30 GMT. No details of the proposed agreement have been released so far.

Prominent tech executives have pledged $1bn (£659m) for OpenAI, a non-profit venture that aims to develop artificial intelligence (AI) to benefit humanity. At least 34 bodies have been found in Burundi's capital after the worst night of violence in recent times. Most of the bodies found on the streets of Bujumbura appear to be young men killed by gunfire, some with their hands tied behind their backs. The bodies were found a day after attacks on military sites. Residents accuse police of taking revenge.

The large number of purchases took place at six Missouri Walmarts at least, authorities say, according to KRCG13. A large portion of the phones were bought by “three men with accents” at one Walmart near the town of Lebanon, Jefferson City police said. The purchases were made very late, at 3:50am local time on Saturday, authorities said for 59 of the phones.

A major clean-up operation is under way in the southern Indian city of Chennai (Madras) after a week of devastating floods. Water levels are receding from most parts of Tamil Nadu state, where at least 280 people are now known to have died in floods since last month. Garbage and sludge have collected on the streets and sewage has entered homes, damaging properties.

Schools in Beijing are closed and outdoor construction halted as the Chinese capital's first ever pollution "red alert" came into effect.
