The Chinese government just took drastic steps to save the stock market
China is stepping in to try and save its flailing stock market. According to a Bloomberg report on Saturday, officials are suspending Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) – as many as 28 on the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges – to deal with the tumble in stocks. Stopping new companies from going public in IPOs may reduce the flow of cash from existing stocks, Bloomberg notes.

Nearly three quarters of Americans believe the news media reports with an intentional bias, according to a new survey. The 2015 State of the First Amendment Survey, conducted by the First Amendment Center and USA Today, was released Friday. It shows that only 24 percent of American adults agree with the statement that "overall, the news media tries to report the news without bias," while 70 percent disagree.
